10 Reasons Why Pregnancy Is Miraculous...

10.It's a great self-esteem builder when people look at my belly with raised eyebrows and say "Wow." Yeah-there's a baby in there.
9.Thinking about what's ahead in the coming weeks and remembering what it felt like having Kamden with no epidural is really starting to freak me out.
8.I can no longer bend over...it's more of a squat.
7.My belly button has temporarily become an outie causing children and adults alike to comment on it and even occasionally poke it. It's an awesome conversation starter.
6.A good nights' sleep includes tossing and turning between constant trips to the bathroom while the baby decides this is the best time to roll, punch, and kick.
5.4 1/2 months of nausea and puking is a real treat.
4.You'd think after gallbladder surgery and being on my 3rd pregnancy I'd be used to being poked with needles...I'm not.
3.Heartburn-'Nough said.
2.Being constantly exhausted isn't very effective when you're trying to keep up with a 2 1/2 year old and a 4 1/2 year old.
1.It feels really great when people act like it's a disappointment I'm having my 3rd boy instead of "getting my girl". FYI-we were trying for a baby, not for a girl.

Ok-so this post is sarcastic, but I'm 8 months pregnant in the middle of summer and this is my blog so I'll post what I want. I'm greatful for this baby and I hope he gets here safe, healthy, and soon. And I'm glad he's a boy.

Father's Day...

A few reasons why I love my hubby:
He's man enough to wear my flowered apron while making me breakfast:

He got this sweet t-shirt in a goody bag at a work convention (a men's size XL) and instead of keeping it for himself, he was thoughtful enough to give it to me:

While I was visiting my sister last month, he picked out this couch all by himself and surprised me with it when I got home. I especially enjoy watching him freak out when the boys try to go near it with any kind of food or beverage :)

When we very first met, he was describing his detest for feet and said that when he got married, his wife would have to sleep with socks on. But he still paints my toenails when I need him to-and I don't think in 5 1/2 years of marriage that I've ever slept with socks on.

He claims he enjoys unloading the dishwasher.
He will eat cold ceral for dinner willingly.
He actually likes mowing the lawn. I haven't mowed a lawn since before I met him, it's not a chore I miss.
He sings backup vocals on roadtrips. Just ask Tyler and Jolynne about his mad skills.
He's worked REALLY hard on our house without complaining:

And because he gave me these: (plus 1)

HAPPY FATHER'S DAY JEFF, WE LOVE YOU!

T-ball, Cherry Festival, A Pedicure, & A Missing Child...

Ethan's T-ball season ended last week and he got some help at third base during his last game:

Then Kamden decided climbing the fence was more interesting than helping out the Tiger's third baseman:

My sister and her kids came to visit on Thursday and the boys enjoyed playing with Isabelle, even though they kept getting dirty. They let the water out of the swimming pool and made a mud hole in the backyard. I should've gotten a picture because they were FILTHY!
We took the boys to the Petting Zoo at the Cherry Festival yesterday. Ethan was a little frustrated that not many of the animals wanted to eat but I'm sure they'd been stuffed for awhile from all of the kids feeding them. Kamden was a little freaked out at first but then he just started running around, touching the animals once and then running to the next one.

Then Jeff played with the boys on the swings before we walked home, had lunch, and took naps while Jeff went golfing with some friends.

But not before painting my toenails for me! (They're getting a little hard to reach these days with 4 weeks left until our due date)

We watched the parade that evening with family and the boys really enjoyed it but every time a big fire truck came by with it's loud siren blaring, they'd both run to me and press their ears against my stomach and cover their other ear with their hands until the truck passed. After the parade we were all packing up to leave and I was putting my chair back in the bag when I realized Kamden was nowhere to be seen. Everyone started looking around and no one could find him. I grabbed Ethan and we took off looking for him along with everyone who was with us.
I was walking down the street when I just thought to go to the huge slide that we'd been sitting near for the parade. Sure enough, there was Kamden trying to get in line for the big slide. I haven't ever been that scared and when we got back to where we'd been sitting Ethan said in a sad voice "I thought I didn't have a brother anymore."

I think it's time to invest in one of these:

Training Day...

It's begun...

The fact that in 5 1/2 weeks our 3rd baby is due and I haven't started potty training Kamden yet is starting to stress me out. He's gone a few times in the potty before but just randomly and hasn't shown much interest in the little toilet besides a place to hide toys. So today's the day and we're getting down to business...it's only 11:30 and I think he's got about 4 clean pair of undies left. But he's making progress!

InSaNiTy...

That's what I feel the last week of our lives has been. Here's a little of what's been going on:
My younger brother graduated from BSU with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering and is on to Utah to get his Masters...

The boys and I spent Sunday through Wednesday visiting my sister in Oregon. We played at the park, went to my niece's softball games, and took the kids to the river...

Jeff's brother, sister-in-law, and their 3 kids came to visit us Friday through Monday for the Memorial Day weekend. We spent Saturday at a park where the kids ran around and played in the big fountain while chasing Grandpa with the water guns he gave them...

Then we celebrated Addison's 5th birthday at Pojo's...

It was a hard day...

On Sunday we just relaxed and had cake and ice cream for Addie's birthday. Monday Jeff, Tyler, Braxton, and Ethan went golfing and then we had a BBQ before they headed out of town. Then we did some baby shopping, hoping that the more prepared I am, the sooner he'll decide to get here...
The boys have been enjoying the summer weather, living outside playing in the pool and eating watermelon and popsicles. They've been sharing a room for about 2 weeks now and so far it's gone well, not as big of an adjustment as I thought it would be. Now onto tackling potty training with Kamden before the baby gets here. I deffinatley don't want 2 in diapers again!

Sweet Dreams!

Ethan started Tball last week and has had 1 practice and 1 game but so far he's enjoyed it for the most part. At his game Wednesday night he was playing third base and watching the runner instead of the ball when a teammate threw it to him and the ball hit him in his shoulder. It took some bribery to get him back out on the field and I think his favorite part of it all is that they get snacks and treats after every game. Jeff was asked to help coach the bases when our team was batting, it's pretty entertaining to watch these little kids play baseball!

He also went to a preschool that the high school puts on every May for a few weeks and has really had fun and looked forward to going. His last day was Thursday since we will be gone all next week and the kids made and signed a card for him and he came home with a bag full of projects from the time he'd spent there. I'm just sad it doesn't last longer!
