Child Labor...

...I wonder how long it will last that they think raking the leaves is fun...

Funny quotes from today:

Ethan:"Do you think that we could keep Elisa and Callie could forget she had her?"
Me: "Maybe. If we did, would you stop asking me for a sister?"
Ethan: "Yep."

Kamden: (Screaming at the top of his lungs at the Buzz Lightyear action figure)
"I'M POOPY, BUZZ LIGHTYEAR! I'M POOPY!"

Ethan bumped his head on the couch and said: "Ow! That crashed right into my brain!"

Kamden when asked to help pick up his toys:
"I can't."
Mom: "Why not?"
Kamden: "I'm not big enough."

Pumpkin Patch Adventures

Today for preschool we got to visit a pumpkin patch with free hayrides and, if the kids can carry the pumpkin themself, then it's free too! There is also a big stand with lots of yummy fruits and veggies for sale and some of the biggest pumpkins we'd ever seen! The boys had a great time running through the field hunting for just the right pumpkin and they absolutley LOVED the hayride.

On The Hunt...

2009 PuMpkiN CaRviNg

Our good friends invited us over for some yummy potato soup and pumpkin carving.Take a look at the last picture-Ethan did his entire pumpkin face all by himself with just a little help on the mouth but he added the teeth on his own. It reminds me of something from the nightmare before christmas!

More Quotes From Ethan...

"Why do we have to do our hair? It isn't Sunday."

"Did we go to the bank today or was that a dream?"

A commercial for a Diego backpack came on and Ethan tells me
"I want that. It isn't junk."

"I like going to Uncle Brian's house. He has curtains in his kitchen. They aren't clean but they are kinda clean."

The boys were playing Legos and Kamden took Ethan's Lego man from him. "Give me back my guy, Kamden! I don't know why you have to be so creepy."

Kamden still isn't potty trained but today we are trying. After the 2nd poopy accident I was pretty frustrated but thankfully Ethan is here to help me keep my perspective. "Don't worry mom. Someday he will learn."
I sure hope so.

What Can Happen In 6 Years...

This weekend we went to Logan, Utah and stayed with my brother Ryan and sis-in-law Charly. My parents went with us and the four of them watched the boys on Saturday so that we could be with Jeff's brother Brian and his wife Sierra as they were sealed in the temple.

Saturday evening Ryan and Charly showed us this little zoo right by their apartment. Most of the animals there have been injured or sick and they couldn't survive in the wild.

It was fun to show the boys where Jeff and I were married, we hadn't been back to Logan since our wedding day...

A lot's changed in nearly 6 years!

Ethan

It's been my week for teaching preschool and Ethan has LOVED having his friends over. We learned about the letter D and dinosaurs. We made triceratops masks, went hunting for dinosaur teeth, learned about the number 4 and the color yellow.
Last week Ethan wanted to color with markers and he asked if it was ok that he got some green on his hands. I figured he meant he just got a little marker on them...

A few nights ago, after about 3 attempts at putting the boys to bed, Ethan came wandering in our room with his eye scrunched shut and said that it hurt-to which I asked "Why?"
"I think it needs to lay by something else."
"Oh really? Like what?"
"I think it needs to lay by you."
Nice try, son. Nice try.
