Halloween 2008

We went to our ward Trunk-Or-Treat and the boys came home with way too much candy but we had a fun Halloween and I didn't have to do too much convincing for them to wear their costumes!

Tuesday

We made these this morning and the boys got in their Halloween costumes.

And we went to visit my grandparents and my Great Aunt Fran and Keith who drove over for the day.
Then we ran some errands in town and stopped off for lunch. The boys were excited to use the Halloween Dollars from Aunt Fran to buy their own Chicken McNuggets and play in the jungle gym.
After lunch we drove home and the boys played in the leaves that are taking over the lawn. Two years ago next month, I went outside to rake the leaves from this very tree and that day I went into labor. So if anyone reading this is in need of a trick to start contractions, my leaves need raked!





And this is what I get to drive by every day. The picture isn't very good but there are headless people, skeletons, and a huge skull over the arch. He even lit stuff on fire last year. Can you tell one of the neighbors is a bit obsessed with the coming holiday? Two weeks ago the boys and I were walking back from the park and the guy was out putting up the decorations. Ethan looked at the skeletons along the fence and asked "Mom, are those things going to bite me?"

Hodges Family

Twenty-Seven

The craziness has begun! Today we celebrated Jeff's birthday (which is actually November 3rd but he will be out of town that weekend) and had family and friends over for dinner, pumpkin carving, and cake. Halloween is THIS FRIDAY!! and then Kamden's birthday is November 10th followed by our 5th Anniversary on the 21st and a week later comes Thanksgiving. December 15th I'll turn the big 26 (ah!) then of course Christmas on the 25th with Ethan turning 4 (double ah!) on the 27th. Holy Moley! I guess we'll get everything celebrated and over with pretty much all at once but it makes the months really busy!

Boo At The Zoo

On Saturday we took the boys to Boo At The Zoo-probably not something we'll go to again because there were a gazillion people there. The boys had fun and we hadn't been since the Africa Exibit opened so we got to see giraffes and lions.
