Easter Sunday

We had a nice relaxed Easter this year and the boys had fun coloring eggs. My parents, two of my brothers, and my sister-in-law came over for brunch on Saturday to help the boys get all of the eggs dyed.
Sunday morning the boys hurried to find their Easter baskets and for some reason this year the Easter Bunny decided to hide them. They were found in various places, including hanging from the ceiling fan. The baskets included goodies like chocolate bunnies, marshmallow Peeps, HotWheels cars, and a new pair of shades for Kamden and Ethan:
Owen is a bit obsessed with Elmo and he found a cuddly new baby "Mo-Mo" in his Easter Basket.
The Easter Bunny hid the eggs at Grandma & Grandpa's house and it didn't take long for Owen to get the hang of the hunt.
That Easter Bunny must've jumped awfully high to get that egg up in the tree. Kamden couldn't quite reach it...
And this one was much too high for Owen, so Grandpa helped him...
We had a yummy dinner complete with the hunted Easter eggs made into deviled eggs. Then it was time for the Easter pinata...
Owen wasn't quite sure what to do at first.
Kamden, however, knew exactly what to do. He also had a good idea of what was inside and he was pretty determined to bust that pinata wide open.
Ethan also made a good effort.
Kelsey, however, was a little off base...
And Uncle Jeff didn't have much luck, either.
I also didn't do much damage...
Grammy gave it a good try...
And Owen was NOT happy when his Daddy cracked the poor pinata apart. He didn't realize that there were treats and prizes spilling out on the ground...
We had a wonderful Easter and enjoyed the time we were able to spend with our family. What a blessing to be able to remember and celebrate the resurrection of our Savior, Jesus Christ.
