But, after some coaxing (and maybe a little bribery) the boys posed quickly for a picture-but not before they each received a coveted candy cane (see how Owen is just staring at Kamden's)and shouted from a distance their Christmas wishes. I'm not sure if Santa got it down but Kamden requested Chick Hicks and Mr. King while Ethan asked for a Transformer. Funny how their lists were much longer than that but when they found themselves face to face with Santa himself I think they were a little awestruck and suddenly forgot their hearts' desires.

Meanwhile, we've enjoyed the beauty of the snow mostly from inside the warmth of the house-although Ethan is itching to get outside and build a snowman. The Christmas shopping is done, the presents are wrapped and under the tree. Ethan suggested we open "just one" today after church-a good suggestion but he's going to have to endure the next twelve days (TWELVE DAYS TIL CHRISTMAS?!) with the shiny paper and ribbons taunting him beneath the tree.
We hope you had a fun and safe weekend!

Cute! The first day after we put out some wrapped presents I made sure to be out in the living room with Atley first thing just in case he got any ideas. Good thing too since he thought it was Christmas day!
