StoryTime With The Boys

Last night we put the boys to bed and Jeff went to play basketball at the church. However, the boys had something else in mind besides sleeping and they were both out of bed not ten minutes after Jeff left. The three of us piled on my bed and read the books we got from the Library earlier that day. Here's a video of each of them "reading" a story...

This one is of Ethan reading 'Worm Gets A Job'. He starts out pretty good and you can understand the title, then he starts talking about how Worm needs a job and he needs paper because in the story, Worm wants to enter an art contest but he needs to buy a paint set so he can paint a picture to enter. He goes about finding several different jobs, none of which he is very good at and he doesn't end up earing any money. Then, finally, he gets a job at a local grocery store painting signs with words and prices. But, Worm is an artist and ends up painting a beautiful picture of fruit. The grocery store owner is not pleased because this isn't what he asked for, so he fired Worm and told him to take his painting with him. Worm has a painting to enter in the contest! You'll have to read the book to find out what happens in the end, especially since in this video, Ethan starts singing or something before he finishes the book.

Here's Kamden reading a story called 'Beach Day'. It's about some Alligator friends who want to go to the beach and by the time they get there, it's dark because they stopped several different places like a park. So, they end up swimming by the light of the moon. Here's Kamden's attempt at the story, complete with sound effects:
